After graduating from Auburn University with a B.S. in Language Arts Education, I traveled the world to teach English/Language Arts in Europe, Central, and North America. With five years of traditional classroom teaching under my belt, I set out to forge a new path for myself in the virtual classroom so that I could focus on engaging with young people on topics that I care deeply about: language and literature. Over the course of my career, I have worked with students from all walks of life and delight in the exchange of ideas and culture that comes from one-on-one and group discussions around common themes. In my personal time I enjoy reading, watching re-runs of Parks and Rec, traveling, and taking my dog on hikes.
