The key to truly understand a culture is to learn its language. I grew up in Eastern Europe in a family where everyone spoke at least two languages. This circumstance made me appreciate the beauty, importance and usefulness of learning to speak different languages. As a result, I ended up studying languages in college and obtained a Bachelor's Degree in French and English. After moving to the US, I continued my studies and got a Master's Degree in Teaching English Learners (ESL). I have thirteen years of experience teaching French, English, Russian and Romanian to students of various ages(7-80 years old). I tutor several subjects in French, Russian, English and Romanian. I enjoy tutoring because it gives me the chance to practice all the languages I speak as well as work with people of different ages. I believe a tutor/teacher should have a flexible teaching style in order to meet his/her students' needs and goals for learning a language. In my free time, I like to read, work out, sew and hike with my family.
