About Me

I am originally a Miami native. I was blessed to have attended schools that had principals who would push my schoolmates and me to work harder and to be better. I aim to be this type of principal, and more. There are students who have never been told they can be anything they want in this world, they have never heard the phrase there is no limit. I want to make sure they hear it. While in Miami I worked in low-income middle schools and high schools as a substitute and an interventionist. I also tutored middle and high school students in the foster care system. I focused in middle school math, algebra 1 and 2, geometry, biology, ACT and SAT. I moved to Atlanta, Georgia to pursue a Master of Public Administration degree. I graduated from Florida International University with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, and I use its philosophies daily. I feel the education gave me the tools to move around society more consciously aware of why others think, feel, and behave the way they do. I have always loved kids. At each point in my life I have mentored someone younger than me, whether they be friends, family, or community. I want to change the world, and I feel the most effective way to do that is to open the minds of the next generation. So I enjoy teaching students new things; it is as if every drop of knowledge gives them a whole new perspective of the world.
