About Me

I am currently a student at the Johns Hopkins University School of Nursing. I completed my bachelor's degree in Film Production from Emerson College in 2007. Before returning to school, I taught high school students with emotional and learning disabilities in a variety of subjects, including math and science. I also spent a year in AmeriCorps, where I was a residential counselor for students in a residential academic program here in Baltimore. There's no one right way to learn and I believe students are most successful when their instructor is able to meet them where they are. I enjoy helping students identify their strengths, which not only helps me tailor my sessions to their specific needs, but also provides encouragement for learners who may feel disengaged or dispirited. Often times, this means that we not only work on learning specific subjects, but also improving study and organizational skills. When I'm not at school or working, I enjoy skiing, reading, camping, and hanging out with my pug Quinn.
