This course is designed for the serious photography student to apply subject matter of personal interests to previously learned photography skills and techniques. Students should be self-motivated, disciplined, and prepared to fulfill course objectives designed by the instructor and the student. Black and white photography and cell phone photography will be explored both traditionally and experimentally. This class offers students the opportunity to develop professional photography portfolios and mixed media creative projects, including the altering of finished images through methods like photo collages. Students are encouraged to think beyond the frame and explore photography as a tangible, expressive art form. This course is one of the course choices required for the Art Concentrator Pathway.
Prerequisites: Photography I-2 and teacher approval
