Career & Technology Center Students study the generation and transmission of electricity as it applies to home and commercial wiring. Practical work is performed on the installation and functions of wiring apparatus, fixtures, motors, control panels, and insulating materials. Instruction in the electrical wiring code published by the National Board of Fire Underwriters is included in this program. Students are required to pass the National Construction Career Test (NCCT) titled Core-Introductory Craft Skills to achieve Level II status in construction programs. At the end of Level II, students will take the NCCT in Electrical.

Prerequisites: These courses are part of the Electrical Construction completer program. Students are required to pass the National Construction Career Test (NCCT) titled Academic Core-Introductory Craft Skills to achieve Level II status in construction programs. Students who successfully complete the program will take the Academic Electrical Level I NCCT.
