Winters Mill High – American Sign Language III

This is a one credit course intended for students who can demonstrate mastery of the skills presented in ASL. ASL continues vocabulary development while focusing intently on the structure and grammar of American Sign Language. In order for the students to properly assimilate the rules and syntax of ASL, this class is taught exclusively in ASL. Students will also continue to broaden their knowledge of Deaf culture through selected readings, videotapes, field trips, guest speakers, and student projects.
Prerequisites: American Sign Language II.
