Winters Mill High – American Sign Language IV 

This honors level course is intended for students who demonstrate mastery of the skills presented in ASL III and who may be interested in pursuing a career in sign language or deaf studies. ASL IV continues vocabulary and grammar development of the language by emphasizing the narrative and conversational skills necessary to explain ideas and concepts. In order for the students to properly assimilate the rules and syntax of ASL, this class is conducted exclusively in ASL. A high level of English proficiency is expected when written assignments are required.
