FL422 - Latin II 1 credits / Full year course / Grades: 9, 10, 11, 12 Language learners in Latin II are expected to reach an intermediate proficiency level upon completion of this course, according to the TEKS for LOTE. This course focuses on the development of reading and comprehension skills. Students develop a deeper understanding of the similarities and differences between the Roman world and today’s world. The learning of new vocabulary and more grammatical structures is emphasized as reading progresses to longer and more complicated passages. Oral Latin is still used to help students understand reading selections. Word studies continue to be an integral part of learning Latin.
