Provides a calm and consistent working environment for independent and collaborative work. The course emphasizes getting academic needs met through self-advocating, asking for/accepting help, self-monitoring, time on task, breaking down large tasks, and prioritizing assignments. Features two tracks—math academy or literacy academy—targeting specific needs in reading, writing, or math. This course replaces the student's elective.
Prerequisites: Current Individualized Education Plan (IEP) required
