The purpose of this course is to enable students to acquire a more than basic injury regarding prevention foundation training, safety, nutrition, and benefits of physical activity, boot-camp conditioning, first aid, wound dressing seizures, sport injuries. Each student must pass a written and performance CPR/AED test. Students will also explore human anatomy, injury prevention and illness recognition. Students will learn how to manage athletic data, statistics and sports communication venues. Students must work with fall athletic coaches for a nine-week practicum.

Prerequisites: None Fitness Components Emphasized: Skill-related and maintenance/improvement fitness
