Westover High – Staff Assistant

Staff Assistant is a class for those students interested in providing assistance to school staff members. Students may be asked to answer phone calls, run errands within the school, fi le miscellaneous materials, or assist in other areas pertinent to the job of the person to whom the student is providing assistance. According to State Board Policy: Each local superintendent shall ensure that all required and elective courses have suffi cient rigor, breadth, and depth to be awarded high school credit. Credit may not be awarded for school bus driving, offi ce assistance, teacher assistance, or laboratory assistance. Students enrolled in this course will receive a grade of pass or fail.
