This course further develops skills in communication, logic, and reasoning through participation in scholastic forensics competitions. Students specialize in and demonstrate expertise in at least one of the speaking events, begin to develop a second area and compete at local, regional and state tournaments. Students continue to refi ne diction, articulation, enunciation, and projection skills while applying more advanced techniques of public speaking. Students exhibit team responsibility and develop skills of evaluation and analysis. Honors activities may include required/advanced reading lists, required/advanced writing assignments, special projects, enrichment activities and a portfolio of student activities/performances.
