Westlake High School – Allied Health Internship (Honors)

Students will participate in a work-based learning opportunity in a professional healthcare setting which should reflect their interest in pursuing a career in Health Care. Students will be supervised by an instructor and participate in a school-based seminar class at least once per week to share experiences. The Academy of Health Professions (AHP) Physical Rehabilitation program introduces students to healthcare knowledge and skills through project problem-based learning, internship experiences
Prerequisites: Prerequisite: Biology, Chemistry, Foundations of Medicine & Health Sciences; Structure & Functions of the Huma Body and concurrently enrolled in Pharmacy Technician Medical Specialty
