Westfield High – Electrical Construction and Engineering 3

Students will further their electrical studies to learn about layout, planning, and installation of wiring systems in commercial facilities. An introduction to programmable logic controls (PLC) and its associated applications will be provided with the most current Allen Bradley controls. Students will also get the chance to lead other students in installing wiring in a residential house. Upon completion of this course students should be able to install and wire all aspects of a residential house to include ordering and managing materials and equipment. Students should also have a knowledge of PLCs, solar power and other related electrical specialty fields. Student internship experiences are an option for this course.
