Prepares students for entry-level healthcare employment and college healthcare programs. Content includes medical terminology and abbreviations, technical communication skills, anatomy and physiology, vital signs, activities of daily living, First Aid, CPR, and AED training, medical mathematics, safe medical equipment usage, diversity awareness, disease progression, injury prevention, and treatment modalities. Includes hands-on training in simulated lab settings and clinical internships in inpatient, outpatient, clinic, and office settings at University of Maryland Medical Center, R Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center, and Baltimore Veterans Affairs Hospital
