Fulfills Communications Focused Course Graduation Requirement Digital Media is a study of media literacy and journalistic production skills. This course examines the impact of informational, narrative, and persuasive media on everyday life. This course will focus on changes in media and includes practice in many forms of journalism, audio/visual storytelling, multimedia storytelling, as well as different platforms such as online and social media. Students will analyze local, national, and global media through the lens of law, ethics, and social responsibility. As a student-run organization, the HiLite staff is comprised of reporters, photographers, interviewers, bloggers, and more. Students work as a team to produce content for our award-winning, online newsmagazine, HiLite, and by the end of the year are learning about leadership and management. STUDENT MEDIA: HiLite B (1086)
