Prerequisite for Human Services A & B Principles of Human Services explores the history of human services and the role of the human service worker. A human services worker provides a variety of services aimed at improving lives and communities. The term is as broad as the needs and problems of the community base. This course is for students interested in careers that include areas such as counseling, psychology, faith-based services and initiatives, public policy, nutritionists, criminology, and youth and family assistance. Students will have the opportunity to job shadow with community partners. This course is one of the required courses for the Human Services Pathway.
