West Chester Henderson High School – Advanced Physical Education 1

Designed for students with a strong interest in physical education, recreation and related fields, students are challenged to learn more about individual activities and explore topics not covered in the traditional physical education program. Students experience the art of teaching skills and techniques to others, as well as planning and conducting an activity for community involvement. In addition, students are exposed to a variety of career related opportunities in this area. This class is scheduled 5 days per week for one semester.
Prerequisites: Prerequisites: Successful completion of physical education in grades 9, 10, and 11; exhibit good sportsmanship and fair play; demonstrate a high level of participation and cooperation; teacher recommendation from PE 11 or Advanced PE teacher.
