World Religions is a comparative and academic exploration of the major religious and philosophical traditions that have shaped human civilizations and continue to influence global societies today. Students will develop an informed understanding of diverse belief systems through the academic study of universalizing and ethnic religions, as well as indigenous and contemporary belief systems. Through historical, philosophical, and cultural inquiry, students will examine the origins, development, core beliefs, and practices of world religions, as well as their influence on culture and social structures.
