In this seventh grade course, students acquire knowledge and skills needed to make healthy choices for life. Instruction will focus on building skills through the topics of mental and emotional health; substance abuse prevention; disease prevention and control; personal and consumer health; and, safety and injury prevention. This course, designed for seventh grade students, combines content and skills of the National Health Education Standards and Maryland Comprehensive Health Education Framework.
