Practicum in Hospitality Services is a unique practicum experienceto provide opportunities for students to participate in a learningexperience that combines classroom instruction with actualbusiness and industry career experiences. Practicum in HospitalityServices integrates academic and career and technical education;provides more interdisciplinary instruction; and supports strongpartnerships among schools, businesses, and communityinstitutions with the goal of preparing students with a variety ofskills in a fast-changing workplace. Students are taughtemployability skills, including job-specific skills applicable to theirtraining plan, job interview techniques, communication skills,financial and budget activities, human relations, and portfoliodevelopment. Practicum in Hospitality Services is relevant andrigorous, supports student attainment of academic and technicalstandards, and effectively prepares students for college andcareer success.
