NOTE: a student may receive credit inEconomics after successful completion of this course orEconomics with Emphasis on the Free Enterprise System, butnot both, and only that course will be considered for rankcalculation regarding the Social Studies - Economicsrequirement.The Personal Financial Literacy and Economics Courseemphasizes the economic way of thinking, which serves as aframework for the personal financial decision-makingopportunities introduced in the course. Students willdemonstrate the ability to anticipate and address financialchallenges as these challenges occur over their lifetime. Inaddition, students are introduced to common economic andpersonal financial planning terms and concepts. As a result oflearning objective concepts and integrating subjectiveinformation, students gain the ability to lead productive andfinancially self-sufficient lives.
