SCHEDULE FULL YEAR. This course is an inquiry-based approachto learning about and making art and design. Students areexpected to conduct an in-depth, sustained investigation ofmaterials, processes, and ideas using the principles of design. APArt and Design students develop and apply skills of inquiry andinvestigation, practice, experimentation, revision,communication, and reflection.For this portfolio, students are asked to demonstrate mastery of3D design through any three-dimensional process such as but notlimited to figurative or nonfigurative sculpture, architecturalmodels, metalwork, ceramics, glass work, installation,assemblage, 3D fabric/fiber arts or 3D computer generatedmodels. All enrolled students are expected to develop and submita portfolio of 15 images demonstrating a sustained investigationat the end of April.
