This course is for students with extensiveexperience in art and is a bridge betweenregular art and college level courses. Studentswork in a self-directed environment to developa portfolio showing a body of their own work thatvisually explores a particular artistic concern,articulated and supported by a written artist'sstatement. Artists may work in, but are notlimited to, content in drawing, painting,printmaking,mixedmedia, traditionalphotography, digital photography, and/or newmedia and emerging technologies thatdemonstrate understanding of design principlesas applied to a 2-dimensional surface.
