Students demonstrate and practice the elements and principles of design as they create a variety of projects using live materials as well as fabric, dried, and pressed flowers. Only basic supplies for learning each technique will be supplied; project costs will be the student's responsibility. This course does not cover the breadth and depth of the Flower Design course. This course is designed to facilitate learning outcomes appropriate to the student's instructional needs as documented in the Individualized Education Plan (IEP). This course DOES NOT meet the state graduation requirements.

Prerequisites: Students who qualify for the Alternate Standards. Flower Design - Alternate may be taken for repeated credit. CASE INTRODUCTION TO AGRICULTURE, FOOD, AND NATURAL RESOURCES 1 credit This honors level course introduces students to the world of agriculture and its career pathways. Students will experience hands-on activities, projects, and problems that involve the study of communication, sciences of agriculture, plants, animals, natural resources, and agricultural mechanics. They will learn to solve problems, conduct research, analyze data, work in teams, and take responsibility for their work, actions, and learning. Prerequisites and other notes: This course is the first class for all agriscience completer programs. It is recommended for students in grades 9 and 10.
