Valley High – Sociology

This course introduces students to the history of sociology, how groups interact and evolve, the role of individuals within groups, and the impact of groups on their members. Students will investigate the elements of culture, societal structures, individual social behaviors, and contemporary social issues. Students will engage with a variety of resources, group activities, projects, and class discussions to apply the sociological perspectives through experiential learning opportunities.
Prerequisites: Recommended for grades 10-12.
