Valley High – Financial Literacy – Alternate

Financial Literacy - Alternate is based on economics and personal finance as part of the transition from high school into the adult world and independent living. Through the decision-making process, active learning, and problem solving, students will gain knowledge and skills in income, money management, consumer rights and responsibilities, spending, credit, and savings. This course does not cover the breadth and depth of the Financial Literacy class. This course is designed to facilitate learning outcomes appropriate to the student's instructional needs as documented in the Individualized Education Plan (IEP). This course DOES NOT meet the state graduation requirements.
Prerequisites: Students who qualify for the Alternate Standards in grades 11 and 12.
