Course content should be aligned as applicable with State Board for Educator Certification Pedagogy and Professional Responsibilities standards; and the course must include a minimum of 16 contact hours of field experience in P-12 classrooms. This course requires 32 hours of field observation internship. 16 hours must be in P-12 schools. Criminal background check required prior to enrolling. Field experience required. Along with TCC requirements for course completion; students must meet additional NISD course expectations and internship responsibilities in order to receive credit for this course.
