. Students raise plants for themselves and for sale in the school’s greenhouse. They learn how to reproduce plants and make flower arrangements. In the greenhouse laboratory they grow poinsettias, mums, and many other common greenhouse plants. Fifty percent of class time is spent in laboratory activities. At the third level, students concentrate on laboratory experiences in the greenhouse, flower shop, and outdoors. Management skills, marketing, and landscape drawing are also stressed.
