This course shall provide students with opportunities to develop musicianship skills in band, marching band, and instrumental ensembles through performance. Students shall develop skills in characteristic tone production (standard woodwind, brasswind or percussion instruments), band performance techniques, musical literacy and music appreciation. Costs and/or fees may be required. After school rehearsals, performances, and/or instruction are a graded requirement of this course. Marching Band is a co-curricular graded part of this course, and after school/outside of school rehearsals and performances will be required.
