The course contains the study of fundamental terminology, notational skills, key signatures, and transposition. Two-part counterpoint, harmonization of melodies and four-part realization of figured bass symbols will be studied. Extensive melodic, rhythmic, and harmonic-ear training will be included. Student purchase of text may be required for this course. Students will take the College Board Assessment for this course.
