The purpose of this course is to teach leadership skills, parliamentary procedure, problem solving, decision making, communication skills, group dynamics, time and stress management, public speaking, human relations, public relations, team building, and other group processes. The content should include, but not be limited to, the following: study in selfunderstanding; development in such areas as goal setting, self-actualization, and assertiveness; and study of organizational theories and management. This course requires an application and is for Latinos in Action and SGA. # Volusia Online Learning # 2024-2025 High School Course Catalog experience to all students, grades K-12. The dynamic combination of the FLVS platform and Volusia County teachers makes VOL a proven and effective option for students seeking a non-traditional learning experience. In order to become a full-time VOL student, one must apply online at volusiaonlinelearning.com and meet the stated enrollment criteria. Full-time students are required to maintain good academic standing, take a minimum of 6 courses per semester, and participate in all required testing. The 2024-2025 Full-Time Application opened on January 3, 2024 and closes on July 15, 2024. Part-time students attend a physical school, or are registered with the VCS Home Education office, and take online courses with VOL while on campus, off campus, or a combination of both.
