Introduction to Leadership Education 1. This course is the first in a series of eight courses that make up the Marine Corps JROTC program. The overall aim of the program is to provide students with citizenship and leadership education while teaching them respect for constituted authority. The eight-course series is designed to accommodate the school’s block scheduling and represents a total of four years, or levels, of instruction. In this introductory course, students are taught how to be good followers and learn the importance of teamwork and discipline.
