Twin Peaks Charter AcademyRhetoric

Apr 2026 · 2nd Semester

Students read, analyze, and discuss Aristotle's Rhetoric in order to understand the principles of persuasion. Readings include a mix of primary and secondary sources that guide students to understand and apply the appeals: ethos, pathos, logos and the canons of rhetoric: invention, organization, style, memory, and delivery. Students analyze persuasive texts, practice developing their own works of persuasion, and debate applying judicial rhetoric.
