Tuscarora High – Pre-Engineering Technology 1

Offered only at OHS. This course satisfies the one-credit graduation Computer Science and Engineering Graduation requirement. Prerequisite: Math Grade 8 Honors (Algebra 1 recommended). This course offers the opportunity to solve mechanical, electronic, optical, thermal, structural, fluid, and materials problems through the use of modern technology tools. This is a laboratory-based course using CAD, CAM, robotics, computer modeling and simulation. The curriculum is composed of 16 modular workstations. Each workstation has from 4 to 12 levels of curriculum. The Pre-Engineering Technology 1 students explore two levels at each station.
