This course integrates concepts of physical therapy, occupational therapy, kinesiology and athletic training. Students will focus on musculoskeletal, neuromuscular, cardiopulmonary and Integumentary related injuries, diseases and disorders. In addition, students will also focus on preventative activities, therapeutic practices and rehabilitation. Students are prepared for actual experience in the clinical setting with a focus on the specific knowledge, skill and abilities that relate to physical rehabilitation and/ or occupational therapy Certification through the National Strength Professionals Association (NSPA). The state of Maryland required .5 credit Health 2 course is included in this program.
