This course requires a strong foundation in logical thinking and problem solving. Students will learn foundational cybersecurity topics. This course introduces students to cyber by blending networking fundamentals, software security, basics of cryptography, and elements of liberal arts. Topics addressed are ethics and Society, security principles, classic cryptography, modern cryptography, malicious software, physical security, and web security. Students will learn about the opportunities, threats, responsibilities, and legal constraints associated with operating in cyberspace. Cyber literacy lays a foundation for further exploration into STEM and cyber related topics.
