Troy High School – Drawing 1

This course is an introduction to basic drawing principles and techniques. Students will build a range of skills to develop a strong foundation in drawing. Experimentation and practice with a variety of drawing media promotes students’ development of drawing abilities. Assignments will include drawing from students’ personal interest, portraiture, manmade objects, natural forms, life drawing, action drawing, and perspective drawing. Feedback and critiques of student work and peers work is an important part of the growth process. Students own personal growth in drawing is emphasized, students of all skill level are welcome and will be challenged individually.
