This is a highly competitive course; the student will participate in a variety of team sports and fitness. Competitive games and tournaments will take place during the semester. 007922 Weight Training and Aerobics – Fall 007912 Weight Training and Aerobic-Spring Grades 9-12. 1 semester. ½ credit. Retake. Prerequisite: None. This course is designed for the student wishing to achieve optimum cardiovascular fitness via strength and flexibility exercise. Class emphasis will focus on group aerobic activities including but not limited to walking, jumping rope, jogging, running, stair climbing, and stationary biking and may also include circuit strength training, swimming, and a standardized fitness test. This course is not recommended for students with medical limitations.
