Students will study the various major emotional and mental illnesses with a focus on adaptive and maladaptive coping mechanisms. Topics include stress, depression, anxiety, substance abuse and codependency, anger, domestic violence, social psychology with topics including group behavior, cult formation, conformity and obedience, attitude formation and prejudice.
