includes classroom instruction and laboratory instruction expandingon the skills taught in LET 1 - 2. This course allows cadets toinvestigate the interrelationships of the services while it continues tobuild their leadership development and decision-making skills. Itincludes negotiation skills and management principles. It emphasizesstaff procedures and provides leadership situations and opportunitiesto handle various leadership situations as well as preventing violenceand managing anger. The research, identification, planning, andexecution of service learning activities are included. This coursegives cadets the opportunity to apply basic concepts of careerexploration strategies and planning. It teaches how to create a careerportfolio and plan for college or work. Financial managementprinciples are studied further. Skills for orienteering and/or landnavigation are developed. Includes studies in the federal judicialsystem and how historical events shaped social systems. Theperformance standards in this course are based on the performancestandards identified in the curriculum for the US Army JROTC.Successful completion of at least three units of credit in the ArmyJROTC program will qualify the student for advanced placement in acollege ROTC program or accelerated promotion in the militaryservice.Pathway Courses:1.
