includes classroom instruction and laboratory instruction expandingon skill taught in LET 1. This course introduces equal opportunityand sexual harassment. It provides instruction on leadership stylesand practical time to exercise leadership theories as well as the basicprinciples of management. It provides self-assessments that helpstudents determine their skill sets and opportunities to teach usingaccepted principles and methods of instruction. It emphasizescommunity projects to assist in drug prevention efforts, includesdietary guidelines and fitness and introduces map-reading skills. Itdiscusses the significant\ events that helped shape and develop theConstitution and government and teaches the role of political partiesin the election process. The performance standards in this course arebased on the performance standards identified in the curriculum forthe US Army JROTC. Successful completion of at least three units ofcredit in the Army JROTC program will qualify the student foradvanced placement in a college ROTC program or acceleratedpromotion in the military service.Pathway Courses:1.
