This course is an intermediate level of drawing and painting that is open to students with a foundational knowledge of art technique and design who are eager to experiment and expand their artistic practice. With a strong focus on skillbuilding, composition and critique, students will explore a variety of media and techniques that help to cultivate their unique expressive visions. Throughout the year students will tackle complex concepts like light and shadow, texture, color theory, compositional structure and art history.
