DNC1300 (for P.E. Credit) DNC1100 (for Fine Arts Credit) This course may satisfy a PE credit or a fine arts credit. Course Fee: see course fee table in appendix This class consists of the basics of dance, which include vocabulary, composition, analysis, history, and technique. Styles taught include ballet, modern, jazz, improvisation, and choreography. Students are expected to attend the Fine Arts Festival in the Spring. Students must wear black and/or white dance attire and have a notebook and video (for the Spring semester) that will be purchased by students. Students are graded on daily journals, aesthetic critiques, skills tests, vocabulary tests and participation as well as other required written work.
