This is a no credit period that will be used either to build the skills of those students who have knowledge gaps based on achievement data or to provide enriching opportunities that are of unique interest to students. Select schools are to use these Enrichment Course Codes for the Positive D.A.Y. (Deputies Assisting Youth) Program: Prince George’s County Sheriff’s Office partners with select middle schools throughout the county assisting with purposeful instruction on character education, while equipping and empowering middle school students with leadership skills and effective communication skills that will ensure the successful transition to high school and beyond. Upon completion of this program each cadet will increase their level of self-awareness, know how to self-regulate, have strengthened self-confidence, developed leadership skills, have effective communication skills, and conflict resolution skills. Students who volunteer to participate in the program should be representative of the entire student population.
