Students build movement competence and confidence through a variety of games, sports, fitness, dance, and recreational activities while applying fundamental skills and movement principles. They learn how nutrition, energy balance, and physical activity contribute to personal fitness, and use self-assessment and goal setting to improve performance and health. Emphasis is placed on cooperation, responsible decision-making, and positive social interaction as students develop the skills and attitudes needed for lifelong wellness.
