The emphasis of study shifts from the development of basic skills to that of skills necessary to the character actor. Concentration is on period plays from ancient Greece to the twentieth century; the emphasis is on characterization, acting styles, presentational and representational theatre. The Stanislavski acting technique is introduced. Through exercise and discussion, a range of techniques and strategies essential to a number of diverse performance forms will be explored. Students will participate in TDHS stage productions. (Prerequisite: AR131H Actor’s Studio 1)
