Sunrise Mountain High School – Social Living/Independent Living Skills

This one-year course gives students the opportunity for self- improvement through exploring who they are, the values they want to have, how to set short- and long-term goals, responsibility and leadership, and how to identify and overcome obstacles. Students with Individualized Educational Program (IEP) have diverse needs and course accommodations and/or modifi cations may be required based upon IEP identifi ed needs. Instructional practices incorporate integration of diversity awareness including appreciation of all cultures and their important contributions to society. The appropriate use of technology is an integral part of this course. This course fulfi lls one elective credit required for high school graduation and may be repeated.
