Sunrise Mountain High School – Chamber Orchestra

Fee: $$ 30.00$ This one-year course is designed for high school students who have successfully completed an advanced orchestra course and/or have demonstrated competency through audition and want to explore chamber ensemble performance techniques. Major topics include advanced small ensemble performance skills, live performance opportunities, and the study of orchestral chamber music in a range of historical periods and cultures. Instructional practices incorporate integration of diversity awareness including appreciation of all cultures and their important contributions to society. The appropriate use of technology is an integral part of this course. This course fulfi lls either one of the elective credits or the Arts/Humanities credit required for high school graduation and may be repeated. Fundraisers, attendance at after school rehearsals, performances, and travel are required for this class.
